YOUR DATA, EXPLAINED
Privacy policy
Effective 10 September 2026
PrintMargin is made by Richard Wallace. The app keeps your pricing data on your device. You do not need a PrintMargin account.
Quotes, profiles and settings
Material and printer assumptions, saved quotes, business details and notes are stored locally using Apple’s on-device storage. PrintMargin does not upload these records to us, connect them to an online account, or use a custom server. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs in the app, and we do not sell your data.
Your device’s own backup services may include app data according to your Apple and device settings. PrintMargin does not implement its own cloud synchronisation. Local records remain until you delete them or remove the app, subject to any device backups you retain.
Pro purchases
Apple processes the optional one-time Pro purchase. The app uses StoreKit to read verified purchase entitlements and restore ownership. Purchase and restore operations contact Apple; your quotes and print-cost assumptions are not sent with them. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple handles purchase records under its privacy policy.
Exports and backups
PDFs, CSVs and JSON backups are generated locally. You choose whether and where to share them using the system share sheet. Files can contain the business, customer and pricing information you entered. The service or person you choose receives that file under their own arrangements. Deleting a record in PrintMargin does not delete copies you exported or shared.
Personal-data backup, restore and deletion are available without Pro. In Settings, choose “Export personal-data backup” for a copy, or “Delete all local data” to clear the app’s records on that device. Manage exported files and device backups separately.
Support and beta feedback
If you contact us through rsw.io/contact, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as contact details, your message and attachments. We use it to answer your enquiry and investigate problems, on the basis of our legitimate interest in supporting the app. Please avoid sending customer details or sensitive information unless needed to explain the issue. Support information is kept only as long as needed for the enquiry and any applicable record-keeping obligations.
When you use a TestFlight beta, Apple processes testing information and may share crash information, usage information and the feedback you submit with us. Feedback may include screenshots, your email address and device details. We use beta information to diagnose faults and improve PrintMargin. See Apple’s TestFlight privacy notice for the data Apple handles and your options.
This website
This marketing website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It does not run advertising, analytics scripts, a mailing list or a contact form. Cloudflare processes connection information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the site. This supports our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Cloudflare may process information internationally under its applicable safeguards; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Links to the separate RSW support site and Apple services are subject to those sites’ own notices.
Your choices and rights
For data held only in the app, use its backup and deletion controls; we cannot retrieve records from your device. For support or beta information we hold, you can contact Richard Wallace to request access, correction or deletion, or to raise an objection or request restriction, where those rights apply. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
To ask a privacy question or make a request, use rsw.io/contact and mention PrintMargin. We may need enough information to verify and locate the request without asking for unnecessary personal data.
Changes
If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated with a new effective date. Material changes will be explained in the app or release notes as appropriate.
